A year of challenges!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-alizarin-color has-text-color\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-eclipse-color has-text-color\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"has-eclipse-color has-text-color wp-block-heading\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-190\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.dtrecumbents.com.au\/DTRecumbents\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Holly-small-left.jpg?resize=50%2C37&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Small Holly\" width=\"50\" height=\"37\"><strong>Christmas 2020<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-189\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.dtrecumbents.com.au\/DTRecumbents\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Holly-small.jpg?resize=50%2C37&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Small Holly\" width=\"50\" height=\"37\"><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The team at DT Recumbents wish you all a Safe and Merry Christmas, and thanks you for your support over the last 12 months.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will be having a Christmas break, so we will be closed from Christmas Eve 24<sup>th<\/sup> December, re-opening Monday 4<sup>th<\/sup> January 2021.&nbsp; We will be monitoring emails, so if you have a major catastrophe, send us a message and we will see what we can do to help!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>GreenSpeed Update<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-eclipse-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">In March we saw the sale of GreenSpeed Australia to WhizWheelz USA, who packed up all the GreenSpeed stock and shipped it to America.&nbsp; We went from \u201cyes, we can have a GT20 ready to go for you next week\u201d to \u201cWe don\u2019t know if new GreenSpeed Trikes will be available to Australia in the foreseeable future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image wp-image-191\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.dtrecumbents.com.au\/DTRecumbents\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/GsGT26-sm.jpg?resize=300%2C250&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Greenspeed GT26 Trike\" class=\"wp-image-191\"\/><figcaption>GreenSpeed GT26<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In October, Victorian company <a href=\"https:\/\/trisled.com.au\/\"><strong>Trisled<\/strong><\/a> was announced as the new Australian distributor for GreenSpeed. &nbsp;Trisled have been doing their best to secure an Australian share of GreenSpeed Trikes in production at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So far, we have seen a quantity of GT20\u2019s (all sold now) and Magnum BW\u2019s (1 left) and are expecting some GT26\u2019s very early in the new year.&nbsp; Other models including Magnums and Anura\u2019s are anticipated around mid-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ll keep you posted!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>COVID Impact on the Cycling World<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">COVID has had a massive impact on the cycling world.&nbsp; As our gyms and fitness classes closed under lockdown, cycling took over as a COVID-Safe form of exercise that we suddenly had the time to explore, often with our families.&nbsp; The demand for all types of cycles soared, and is still high. As the cycle manufacturing world struggles to catch up with the upright (upwrong?) and growing eBike demand, the smaller Recumbent market is experiencing similar issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is going to take a while for the industry to recover and catch up, so 2021 will still see lots of ups-and-downs regarding availability of bikes, trikes and components.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Electric Assist<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On a more positive note, Electric Assist kits and batteries have recovered from the COVID-induced shortage, and are more readily available.
